Nutanix + Everpure: Yes, you can have the best out of them

I recently had the pleasure of attending an event right here in Egypt announcing the new partnership between Everpure (the storage giant formerly known as Pure Storage, for those keeping track of IT rebrands) and Nutanix.

Let’s be real for a second. In the IT world, “partnerships” are announced every other Tuesday. Usually, they mean two logos are sitting next to each other on a PowerPoint slide. But this one? This one actually makes a lot of sense for our data centers and modernization strategies.

Here is the technical lowdown on what this marriage means for us, and why you might want to pay attention before your next infrastructure refresh.

1. Breaking Up with Legacy Virtualization (It’s Not You, It’s the Licensing)

Let’s address it. A lot of us are heavily re-evaluating our virtualization strategies right now (because…..you know). The era of defaulting to legacy hypervisors—and paying the painful licensing renewals that come with them—is officially over. Nutanix AHV has matured into a beast of a production-ready enterprise hypervisor.

But here was the historical catch: Nutanix has always been the undisputed king of Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI), which is great until you hit a wall and need to scale compute and storage independently. Enter Everpure. By pairing Nutanix AHV with Everpure’s FlashArray, you get the operational simplicity and effortless VM creation of Nutanix, combined with the uncompromising performance of external enterprise storage. You scale exactly what you need, without buying more of what you don’t.

2. Speed That Makes Your Head Spin (and Users Stop Complaining)

We all have those mission-critical workloads that eat IOPS for breakfast. Having Nutanix manage the compute while Everpure handles the backend means you are looking at sub-millisecond latency powered by end-to-end NVMe.

Whether you’re running massive databases, crunching analytics, or just want your developers to stop complaining about pipeline build times, the architectural maturity here is serious. Everpure essentially does the heavy lifting for data reduction and performance, freeing up your Nutanix nodes to focus entirely on running your apps smoothly.

3. Ransomware Protection That Actually Lets You Sleep

If you aren’t mildly paranoid about ransomware, you probably haven’t looked at the news lately. One of the absolute standout benefits of this integration is bringing Everpure’s SafeMode™ Snapshots into the Nutanix ecosystem.

These snapshots are immutable. That means even if an attacker manages to get admin credentials and tries to encrypt or delete your backups, they simply can’t. The data remains locked and pristine. When the worst happens, you’re looking at recovery times measured in minutes or hours, not “let’s update our resumes because the company is dead” days.

The Bottom Line for the Egyptian Market

For the IT landscape in Egypt, this partnership is hitting at the perfect time. As organizations push harder into digital transformation, everyone is trying to do more with less—less power consumption, less data center footprint, and significantly less management overhead.

Combining Nutanix’s simplicity with Everpure’s storage muscle gives us a flexible, hybrid platform for modernization without the vendor lock-in headaches of the past. It’s an architecture that finally respects both your performance SLAs and your sanity.

If you’re charting out your cloud and infrastructure strategy for the next few years, this is a combo worth putting on your testing roadmap.
