Veeam Vanguard program ...... Why I am excited.

A few weeks ago, I received an email from Rick Vanover congrats me that I have been selected for the 2023 Veeam Vanguard program. I was celebrating my vExpert renewal for the third year already. That makes me in double dose of joy and grateful.

Well, I have a long history with Veeam since 2014 “here is why” and lots of engagements with Veeam team.

No more talk about Veeam itself. It is already a proven technology in data protection. So, Let’s talk about Veeam Vanguard program and why it is important to the community.

Since 2015, Veeam introduced Veeam Vanguard program. It is now part of Veeam 100 program (along with Veeam Legends and VeeaMVPs).

Vanguards are who got Veeam message. The individuals who able to deliver the value of brand in different technology communities.

They are choosen based on their activities, contributions, and engagements in the technology world.

As per Veeam Vanguard page, there are lots of opportunities being a vanguard. Along with some goals:

Veeam’s goals of the Vanguard Program:

Build mindshare of technical thought leaders
Gain feedback and insight on topics related to Veeam technologies
Provide opportunities for growth

The Veeam Vanguards have an opportunity to gain the following:

Access to Veeam Product teams
A forum to provide feedback and perspective
Sharing of unique perspectives in the industry and exclusive networking opportunities

I know -personally- some people who are engaged in the past classes. I follow this program and I can say that this is one of the most prestigious, outstanding program in the tech world.

What makes me super excited about being one of vanguards that I am the first one to be selected from Egypt, and native Arabic speaker. This is huge for the local community here. I am in contact with them on almost a daily basis, and I know how they are enthusiastic.

I am looking forward to see how it is going this year. I will share more details about the program and the updates eventually.
