I always follow the progress of Runecast. With every single update, a huge add-on shows the magnificent roadmap of this brilliant product.
This time, with major update, version 6.2 introduces a lot of new features as below:

As a start, I want to remind you how easy to upgrade. I don’t remember any obstacles I faced before during the upgrade. If you are aiming to perform an offline upgrade, please follow this article.
After the upgrade, you will see the notice of the new version.

GCP is here
Now you can apply best practices, CIS Compliance, and Configuration Tracking to your Google Cloud Platform environment. Just by heading to the “Connection” section in Runcast settings.

OIDC
OpenID Connect is another great add-on feature.

Integration
Integration is not a new feature, but – as a piece of advice – try to take a look at integration with Jira for example. I used to perform tasks manually, but this section saved my time.

Security profiles
With a wide range of security profiles, you can pick one or more profiles to scan and comply with. This section is updated every while by Runecast to add a new security profile to match any environment.

Finally, a trivial update: the definition file was renamed from “kbupdate.bin” to “rca-definition.bin”. This is nothing but as a reminder to not miss the file after downloading it (Just as I did 🙂 ).
